Fund for Teachers helped you navigate learning in new way. Now you can help us chart our course going forward.
We rely on Fellows to help us remain mission true and poised for impact. In 2020, this was formalized into an Educator Advisory Council that meets periodically throughout the year under the guidance of Ramsden Project Director (and FFT Fellow) Liza Eaton. Join this powerful group of educators to also grow Fund for Teachers’ impact.
The purpose of this Council is to provide educator perspective and feedback that guides the ongoing development of Ramsden programs.
During the 2020/21 school year, this intrepid group helped us:
-Offer feedback on our fellowship rubric;
-Identify possible ways to diversify our fellowship applicants;
-Envision a new grant program, “Innovation Circles”; and
-Design ways for Fellows to share resources from their fellowships to inspire others.
We are looking for additional Fellows who are committed to furthering Fund for Teacher’s ability to ignite teacher leadership through rich self-designed professional learning and opportunities to collaborate with other Fellows to innovate and promote student agency. Potential EAC Members will:
-Complete a two-year term to be compensated $500 per year.
-Commit to approximately 20 hours a year to include:
* Four, two-hour meetings a year, and
* Pre-work and feedback between meetings.
We are committed to hiring Fellows who are diverse in their identity, location and teaching assignment.

“As for why I agreed to the EAC, I LOVE everything about and for FFT,” said Andrea Barela, two-time FFT Fellow. “I feel like I get so much value and respect as an educator (especially an early childhood/elementary educator) from this organization. It’s such a privilege to interact with other like-minded educators around the country. Plus, it gets me out of my comfort zone to practice being an advocate for early childhood/elementary education.”
