June 2020 – Educational Equity
We chose the theme of Educational Equity days before the murder of George Floyd. Consequently, our social media platforms, blog and podcasts offered rich resources around #edequity and making one’s curriculum more anti-bias and anti-racist.
May 2020 – New 2020 Fellows!
On April 4, we announced our newest class of FFT Fellows, 396 preK-12 teachers (public, private and charter) awarded $1.58 million in grants to pursue their self-designed fellowships. As the pandemic deepened, these grants were deferred to the summer of 2021 and we pivoted from a celebration to curating content supporting remote teaching.

This month we are discussing strategies Fellows use to help our world feel more like one large community. Specifically, Fellows are connecting students with other students around the world. As travelers and explorers, this value is near and dear to Fund for Teachers Fellows, but how can we embody this in our instruction and inspire our students to think globally? All February we worked with Fellows to share video, webinars, downloadable classroom resources, articles, and more on our social channels.
